Our first glimpse of “Enchanted by Nature” in The Sims 4 is here, and you know what? I’ve been waiting for this like a dog for its dinner. Maxis and EA kinda hinted about a trailer dropping today, and yup, here we are. But hang tight, the gameplay reveal’s dropping on June 26, so keep your eyes peeled.
So, about this expansion—it’s the first biggie since “Businesses & Hobbies” landed back in March. Nature-themed stuff, folks. Think plants, fairies—heck, maybe even wild carrot cakes. Sure, the return of fairies? Not a shocker. Honestly, I’d have been more surprised if they didn’t bring ‘em back. EA knows better than to tease us with fairy dust and then ghost us.
But wait, there’s more—your Sims are about to go wild, literally. Like, ditching the indoors for foraging and wild baths. Sleeping under the stars sounds dreamy until your Sim wakes up with some bizarre forest rash. Thankfully, you can whip up some old-school natural remedies. Is that an Apothecary skill or a career? Who knows, probably both, or neither.
And let’s talk Innisgreen—the new world in this expansion. It’s got that Irish vibe if you squint hard enough. More fantasy than real life though. Imagine Hobbiton but with a dash of Irish folklore. Except maybe one spot that’s giving off real-world vibes, like Cobh in County Cork with its colorful houses. I mean, did the Irish secretly move into treehouses without telling us?
“Enchanted by Nature” is just a slice of a bigger nature-themed pie for The Sims 4. The expansion’s out on July 10, but you can get into the groove early with the “Nature’s Calling” event on June 24. And on July 1, there’s an update coming with more nature-y customization bits.
This is all part of The Sims 4’s June-August lineup. Maxis spilled the beans last week: there’s more coming in August—think even more ways to deck out your Sims. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The big gameplay reveal for “Enchanted by Nature” is only two weeks away, on June 26. Mark your calendars if you’re the organized type. Which I’m not.
