Honestly, I didn’t see it coming—my random new obsession with this Netflix thing, KPop Demon Hunters, somehow crossing paths with my long-time favorite, Star Wars. I mean, really, Cal Kestis and the gang from the Jedi games would team up with Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from HUNTR/X? Sounds bonkers, right? But here we are.
Turns out, both squads share a knack for taking down foes in style. Who knew?
Okay, so there’s this video by AnimatedJen that just rocks. If you’re into starting your mornings with something that pumps you up, this is your jam. Seriously, check it out.
Picture this: Cal, Bode, and Merrin team up, with “How It’s Done” from HUNTR/X pumping in the background. They’re laying the smackdown on Empire grunts—not while skydiving or anything wild like that, but man, their moves are slick.
Bode’s all like, “You want some more? Cal, I think they want some more.” Next thing you know, Cal is kicking shoretroopers, Bode’s whizzing in with his jetpack for a mean punch, and Merrin twirls her staff. Yikes, it’s intense—and I’m totally pumped with a minute still to go!
Been following AnimatedJen for a bit now. Love how much passion they’ve poured into crafting their own version of Cal Kestis over the years. An Inquisitor Cal? Yes, please! People are itching to see these Jedi characters jump to live-action—can you blame them?
Diving into the Star Wars fandom is such a treat. Fans taking canon—whatever that means in Star Wars—and putting their own spin on it. It’s wild to imagine Cal and the crew using K-Pop power-ups to thrash stormtroopers, right? But, who’s saying they can’t? Nobody! Just gonna call them MANT/S now. Does that make Cere Junda their band manager? Someone please, throw this on AO3 for me. And modders, those outfits, I’m begging you.
Anyway, I’m off to fire up Jedi: Fallen Order and blast “Takedown” while carving through Imperial baddies. Send help if you don’t hear back!
