Alright, so picture this. Saber Interactive, yeah, the folks who brought us all those gnarly off-roading games — you know, Mudrunner, Snowrunner — they’ve gone and done it again. This time with Roadcraft, their latest take on, well, making stuff in bumpy terrains. It’s kinda like they mashed detailed off-roading with construction. And, surprise surprise, everyone seems to dig it. Like, their parent company, Focus Entertainment or whatever, is saying it’s one of their biggest hits ever. Go figure.
Okay, I’ve gotta admit, this game possibly does the impossible. Some guy named Ed reviewed it and said it somehow makes even the weirdest things fun in video game form. He’s even comparing it to those jam-packed RPGs and shooters. Apparently, the building and tiny little story bits just make it feel super rewarding — like, more than the usual game stuff. Seriously, didn’t see that coming.
And apparently, folks think so too! The numbers on Steam the first day were nuts. And yeah, it sounds like it’s doing A-okay money-wise. The Pullup Entertainment Group, which is kind of like the puppet master behind Focus, even said Roadcraft’s performance was better than they thought. Over 600,000 unique players so far! I mean, that’s a big deal. Their boss, Geoffroy Sardin — cool name, right? — couldn’t stop mentioning how stellar those first couple of weeks were.
Oh, and hey, if you’re itching to see what the fuss is about, you can wishlist Roadcraft on Steam or just get it right away. No pressure. And if games where you can build stuff are your jam, there are some other sandbox and building games to check out too.
Oh, and by the way, follow us on Google News to keep up with all the gaming shenanigans. Or hop into our Discord if you wanna have a chat about this or anything else gaming-related. Loads of folks there just hanging out, talking about games.
