Cronos: The New Dawn is hitting shelves fall 2025. Y’know, Bloober Team’s been teasing us with this one since Xbox Games Showcase dropped that trailer in June 2025. And I mean, who doesn’t love a good survival horror game that smacks of retro-future vibes?
Speaking of trailers, this one shows off some gnarly gameplay where you gotta burn monster corpses. No joke. If you don’t, these creepy Orphans could just gobble ’em up and turn into even bigger nightmares. Pretty wild, huh?
So, Bloober Team, you know them right? The folks who revamped Silent Hill 2? Yep, they’re behind this spooky show. They announced it back in October 2024, promising a 2025 drop. Well, now fall’s the magic window. And from what I saw in the recent showcase, we get to follow this dude called the Traveler through a post-apocalyptic mess called The Change. Time travel and saving the world? I’m in.
Moving on—oh wait, hang on—did I mention this Traveler meets another one, the Predecessor? Yeah, apparently time-travel isn’t unique to them. Fascinating stuff.
Launch day, you’ll find it on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. But hey, no clue yet on pricing, and forget about pre-orders. It’s lined up for those who dig Dead Space vibes. And for PC players? You’ll need decent gear but nothing over the top—stuff like a GTX 1080 or thereabouts should do.
We’ll see if it lives up to the hype. Until then, grab some popcorn and enjoy the chaos of burning virtual monster bodies. Seems oddly satisfying.
