Sure thing, here’s an article about Elden Ring Nightreign — a game that’s got everyone talking, or at least some folks. Let’s dig in.
So, Elden Ring Nightreign, right? It’s like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube that’s also on fire. The release schedule is, how do I put this? Bonkers. You’ve got this roguelike, multiplayer craziness dropping this week. And just to keep things exciting, there’s a jigsaw puzzle of when you can actually start playing. Console or PC? Doesn’t matter, you’ll still probably end up scratching your head at some point. Oh, and if you thought you’d play with your friends on different platforms, think again. No crossplay! But hey, maybe they’ll fix that or not. Who knows?
Now, the juicy bits — those with a PlayStation or Xbox can jump in at the stroke of midnight on Friday, May 30. Except, well, not everyone. If you’re in the Americas, things get a bit murkier, so double-check your time zone, just in case.
PC peeps, I’ve got news for you too! Midnight CEST is your magic number on May 30. Doesn’t matter where you are — it’s the same everywhere. Time zones are weird, but that’s where the world is at right now. (Why CEST? I don’t write the rules.)
So, what’s this game even about? Well, Elden Ring Nightreign spins the whole Elden Ring thing on its head. Sort of. It’s multiplayer but not for two players. Yeah, you read that right. You can go solo or party with two pals — three’s company, two’s a crowd they won’t let in.
You get to pick from eight character classes. Feels like someone at FromSoftware decided that more is merrier but not too much. And guess what? As if one boss battle isn’t enough to give you sweaty palms, each run has three nights with boss fights. And surprise! Some bosses are straight out of Dark Souls. Imagine that crossover. A “FromSoftverse” isn’t far off, methinks.
For $40, this might not be the grand, all-encompassing saga some of us hold dear. But man, it’s a nifty spinoff for those Elden Ring fans who want more, albeit in a more intense bite-sized fashion. You could check out Polygon’s take for more details, if you’re into previews and all that jazz.
Alright, I’m gonna stop rambling. Game on, people!
