Alright, so, get this — The Pokémon Company International (or whatever it’s calling itself these days) just spilled the beans about another Pokémon Presents thingy. Mark your calendars or don’t; it’s happening Tuesday, July 22. No idea what day of the week that is, but anyway, it’s all about the “latest news” from the Pokémon universe. I’m guessing it’s worth tuning in. Or maybe not. Depends if you’re into that sort of thing.
Oh, and about this new game — Pokémon Legends Z-A (what’s with that name though?) — they dropped the release date too. Speaking of, the last time they did one of these broadcasts was for Pokémon Day, February 27, 2025. It was like an info dump, honestly. They talked about new episodes in production for Pokémon Concierge. Never heard of it? Me neither.
Then there’s the mobile frenzy: updates for Pokémon GO, Pokémon Masters EX (what even is EX?), Pokémon Café Remix (pass me the coffee on this one), and something called Pokémon Sleep. Yes, apparently sleeping and Pokémon are now a combo.
And, oh yeah, Pokémon UNITE is getting more characters. More characters equals more chaos? Probably. They also mentioned this Triumphant Light thingy for the Trading Card Game — catchy name, I guess. Mega Evolution cards are making a comeback because why not.
Also, there’s this new game, Pokémon Champions, cooking for Switch, iOS, and Android, whatever device you’re on. We got a peek at Pokémon Legends Z-A — is that the right name? Seems off but let’s go with it.
Anyway, point is, Pokémon Legends Z-A drops on October 16, 2025, both in physical form and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch 2. Yes, there’s a “2” now. Feels like just yesterday we were on the first. But yeah, that’s the scoop, make of it what you will.
