The big Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4 livestream just happened today — not that I was waiting with bated breath or anything. Honestly, every time there’s a new update, folks are buzzing about the fresh batch of characters. It’s like clockwork. So, yeah, this time wasn’t any different. We got the scoop on who’s dropping into the game next.
Okay, here’s the juicy bit everyone’s been yammering about: that Fate/stay night crossover. This whole thing got teased like almost a year back. That was when Fate/stay night finally got the English treatment and a snazzy remaster. Fast forward a few months – felt like eternity if you ask me – and now, we’re almost at the finish line.
Oh! Speaking of which, there’s some weird tech stuff about cookies here. No clue how that ties in. Anyway…
So, here’s the deal with the characters. We’re talking favorites like Saber, dreamily swinging in as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction character with her very own banner—fancy, huh? Then there’s Archer, all Quantum/Hunt-y, and best part? You just log in, and he’s yours during this whole event thing. And both will be chillin’ in the game till, like, November, so no rush.
Guess what? Phainon, yeah, that NPC we’ve all run into since Version 3.0, gets to be a playable dude now. Isn’t it about time? He’ll be another 5-Star and packs a punch with a Physical/Destruction vibe. Since the Fate collab characters are kinda doing their own thing, they’re all dropping in at once.
Plus, the update is going hard with six rerun banners. Am I supposed to keep up with all of this? Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle pop up in Phase 1, then Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade crash the party in Phase 2. It’s packed, but nobody’s complaining. Probably.
Stellaron Hunters? Yeah, they’re getting some tweaks too. So if you’ve been rooting for Kafka, Silver Wolf, or Blade, expect some fresh battle mechanics and nifty Eidolon effects. And Firefly’s got this new outfit. Can they dress me next? Meanwhile, Jingliu’s getting a kit upgrade – please don’t flip sides now, Jingliu. Or do. That might be wild.
Mark your calendars folks, July 2nd is when it all goes live. Then comes July 23rd with another banner shuffle. See it all in the livestream replay if you’re keen.
Oh, almost forgot! Last May, in version 3.3, we were introduced to Hyacine – don’t ask me how that happened. Also, The Herta made a comeback. The second phase tossed in Cipher too. Toss in a bit of drama with some voice actor reshuffles tied to the SAG-AFTRA strike – it’s a whole thing. Some actors’ statuses are still in limbo, but I’ve rambled enough.
Done!
