Sure thing, here we go:

So there I was, whipping my big ol’ Desert Raptor MKII mech around this dusty canyon — dodging rockets and dodging gun-toting baddies like it was your average Tuesday. Bounty Star, man, it’s got this special something. My mech, a cobbled-together beast from somebody’s garage — no joke — took out those pesky enemies. Rockets, heavy melee, you name it. Took a few tries, but hey, I got through. Left me itching to jump back in once it drops for Xbox Series X|S later this year.
Bounty Star’s all about Clem, this badass fighter and mech pilot, wrestling with some past demons. She’s a war vet trying to do right in the Red Expanse — think post-apocalyptic American Southwest. Kinda place that got under my skin.
Oh, and there was this time in Sedona, Arizona — totally gave me vibes from the game’s landscapes, like the perfect backdrop for some intense action shenanigans. Creative guru Benjamin Ruiz, dude behind the game, said the same thing. Amazing vistas, inspiring stuff. It all started bubbling up for him about five years ago. Funny how ideas simmer, eh?
Ruiz always fancied himself doing a Western. So Bounty Star’s packed with that flair but with a dash of lighter Armored Core mech fun. Western chase scenes meet laser-cannon chaos, basically.
And Clem’s makeshift garage? Total mess. Power lines everywhere, corner kitchens to whip up food (stat boosts, yay), munitions strewn about. Gave off those “Firefly” vibes to me. Scrap your way to survival, call it home if you can, right?
Customization? Oh boy, it’s wide open — mix and match your mech style if you’ve got the bits and bobs. Ruiz mentioned all sorts of play styles — armor-heavy tanks or agile speedsters, your call. Pick weapons, slap ’em together, and off you go.
Now, it’s not all about blowing stuff up. You’ll run into quirky NPCs — a Marshall (old buddy, bounty asigner) and a shady merchant with top-tier gear. Small but meaningful crew, says Ruiz.
And the bounties! Can’t be a bounty hunter without ’em, right? Missions vary — a day and night cycle, story bounties, side gigs — different arenas keep you on your toes. Capture, clear out areas, optional objectives for the overachievers.
Bounty Star’s assembled like Clem’s world — full of promise, grit, and chaos. Crossing fingers it pulls together when it drops on Xbox later.
