Alright, so get this — SEGA just spilled the beans about this demo thing for their fresh-off-the-press 2D action platformer, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. It’s chilling on the Nintendo eShop right now if you’ve got a Switch. Yeah, go check.
So, here’s the deal. You dive into Oboro Village, which is the first stage, and start throwing down with enemies or whatever. You try to parkour your way over all these crazy obstacles. There’s, like, a score thing going on too in Arcade Mode. Oh, and they slipped a little secret in — some abilities you can play with in the demo that you normally wouldn’t get until you’re deeper into the game. Sneaky, huh?
Now, picture this place — it’s not just any gaming environment. SEGA teamed up with some artsy folks at Lizardcube to paint this super cool world. We’re talking about Joe Musashi, our ninja hero dude, who comes home to find his stuff toasted to a crisp. Everything’s stone. Bummer, right?
Joe’s all fired up for revenge — like, he’s on a serious mission. Hordes of baddies? Check. Massive, screen-eating bosses? Double check. And all of this while navigating these rad hand-drawn landscapes, uncovering secret paths like it’s nothing.
Okay, so they tossed some features our way:
-
New World Adventure: Trek through these insane stages. They’re gorgeous and varied — think military bases, burning deserts. Puzzles that make your brain hurt? They’re there, too.
-
Ninja Skills on Point: You get katanas, kunai (those pointy things), and all these ninja tricks. Seriously, the ninpo is nuts.
- Shinobi Mastery: Combos galore. Amulets to juice up your powers. And there’s stuff to find called Ningi tools. Don’t ask, just do.
Circle the calendar — it launches worldwide on August 29, 2025. Just digital though, so start clearing some space on your Switch or whatever.
And, oh man, wait until you see the trailer and those screenshots. But, I mean, you probably gotta find those yourself. It’s gonna be a wild ride, no doubt.
