It’s that time again—shark season. Yep, and Alice Games seems to be diving headfirst into the chaos with their new game, Shark Dentist. I know, right? Sounds like one of those bizarre Discovery Channel specials you stumble upon at 2 a.m. Anyway, you get to play as a dentist. For sharks. I’m not even making this up.
The game’s trailer drops you into the scrubs of, let’s just say it, possibly the bravest—or craziest—dentist on earth. Imagine trying to fix dental problems for a deadly, albeit sedated, shark. Sounds like a normal day at the office. Or not. Mess up? You’re done for.
So, they say it gets inspiration from viral hits like Buckshot Roulette. Whoever thought that was a good mix—dark humor, creepy vibes, and, oh yeah, roguelike mechanics—needs a medal or something. The whole thing’s built to scare the pants off you. And maybe make you chuckle. Or scream. Probably both.
Gotta keep the shark stable, monitor heart rates, and calculate anesthesia doses. One wrong move, and… well, you get the picture. There’s a circular saw among the tools. A saw? What is this, Jaws meets DIY surgery? Clearly, it’s got some purpose I can’t fathom, but who am I to judge?
Also—and this really got me—the shark’s hanging from the ceiling in some grimy basement. Why on earth? Sharks don’t belong there! Is this dentist running some illegal operation? No clue. The teaser’s real tight-lipped. But maybe all will be revealed when Shark Dentist finally swims onto our screens. Keep your eyes on Steam; it’s “coming soon,” whatever that means in game developer talk.
