Whoa, okay, so Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is dropping in early access today if you snagged that Digital Deluxe Edition. Seriously, this game’s like a nostalgia bomb mixed with fresh vibes. Come July 11, it hits every platform you can think of – Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, you name it. It even works with Game Pass! Sweet deal, huh? They’re throwing in all this cool stuff like Smart Delivery and Cloud Gaming too, which sounds kinda techy but hey, more ways to play!
Remember those days? Grinding away in Tony Hawk, then dreaming we’d take on the real world ramps but only managing to awkwardly ollie before bailing? I swear I stared at my skinned knees more than I did at my board, but those games were a total blast.
Now they’ve rebooted 3 + 4, and it’s like meeting an old friend who’s gotten a radical makeover. We’ve got our legends like Tony and Rodney back, mixing it up with newbies like Andy Anderson and Bam Margera. Plus, there’s a killer new soundtrack. Ever try to nail an Impossible Flip while jamming to music? It’s life-changing.
And for me, building my own skatepark was like being a kid let loose in a candy store. Every ramp and rail was my canvas, okay, maybe that sounds deep for a skatepark, but you get it, right?
So, whether you’re a rookie or a returnee, here’s a bit of advice from someone who’s crashed and burned a lot. Start simple. Master some street tricks like ollies and kickflips, get that timing down. Then start eyeing those rails like they’re daring you. It’s all about nailing the grind – even if all your early runs end in faceplants. But don’t stress! Every bash was a stepping stone for me. Or, should I say, a wheel spin?
Feeling adventurous? Try mixing those tricks while you grind, that’s where the magic score multipliers live. It’s like, you start with this tiny trick snowball, but suddenly you’re rolling an avalanche. But, uh, hopefully not literally.
And goals. Oh man, they’re the backbone. You don’t have to tick every single one to unlock a new park, and thank goodness for that ‘cause some are like trying to thread a needle while skating. Trust me, start with those “collect everything you possibly can” goals. It’s how I learned my way around each level – discovered new pathways, little secret zones. I have no idea why Foundry stood out, but the way you collect those letters… it just feels right, you know?
As you unlock more, those half-pipes enter the scene. I’m talking real skill test here. So you’re spinning and flipping your way to glory, or at least trying to, until gravity remembers how much it dislikes you. If that landing looks sketchy, bail out! Hit RT before your face learns what dirt tastes like again. Save those teeth, dude.
And you gotta find those sweet spots in parks! Places where you grind forever, stacking up that score until it’s an overachiever – places where you just naturally weave tricks into your run, like some sort of skating Picasso.
And creating your skater? Oh, the choices. I went full gear geek, choosing the perfect shoes. Stat Points? Pour them into Hangtime, Air, and Speed – seriously, you want every bit of help to make those jumps sing.
This is just me rambling and getting hyped all over again. If you haven’t already, grab the Digital Deluxe for early access, and if you’re hesitant – or I guess, maybe a little late to the party – it officially launches July 11. Ride on, friends, and maybe I’ll catch you at the virtual skatepark?
