Alright, here we go. Just spilled coffee on my notes, but hey, let’s dive in.

So, PGA Tour 2K25 Season 2. Launches May 14, and man, there’s this new thing called Challenges mode. It’s like, little golf tests that really see if you know your iron from your driver. I mean, who doesn’t want to nail a golf challenge just between, I dunno, emails or binge-watching a show?
Anyway—wait—there’s more. They’re adding the Old Course at St Andrews Links. One of those gotta-have experiences for any golf fan. Ranked Ladders? Yeah, they’re shaking that up too. I keep getting distracted by thinking about what a shake-up in a Ranked Ladder even looks like. New content rolling in, pretty sure it’s designed to pull us away from the real sun and into the game world.
Okay, bear with me, I’ve lost my train of thought. Right, Challenges, feel like you make your own adventure a bit. Ever heard of that? Pick rewards, plot your moves on maps—that sort of thing. Inventive stuff like finishing with an eagle while, I don’t know, threading your shot through these floating hoops. Why is this exciting? Because it’s bite-sized fun, and who has the attention span for anything else these days?
Max Homa? Yeah, you can reenact some of his iconic moments. Doesn’t that feel kinda epic and intimidating at once? Maybe. Even the whole technical skills angle—it just sounds like the perfect mix of frustrating and rewarding.
Weird, now I’m thinking about the Charles Schwab Challenge. There’s this new 3-hole course, and I guess they’ve tailored it for bite-sized fun too? Like, each hole’s a different par, and I’m just here wondering if golf has gone full snackable content style. A Par 4 with a ravine—you’ve gotta love the drama of that. And that Par 3 over a river—sheesh, I can just imagine the sound of that ball splashing in.
Last hole’s a Par 5 with a dogleg left. No clue what a dogleg left is, but it sounds cooler than a dogleg right. I’d be the one still figuring out my stance by then.
Check this—Season 2 brings the Old Course to digital life. Plus, there’s supposedly some flashy new rewards. Maybe owners of the longest uninterrupted golf clap will find peace with these? Just saying. This Long Flop shot’s in there too—a bit of extra zing for when shots fall short. Ain’t golf grand that way?
May 14 is the date. Xbox Series X|S. Grab a drink, maybe not coffee, stay happy. Golf’s pulling us in, one Challenge at a time.
