Woah, okay, so get this—there’s this game coming out called Marvel’s Deadpool VR. Twisted Pixel, Meta’s game studio, is behind it. And guess who’s voicing Deadpool? Neil Patrick Harris! I mean, that’s just wild. Totally threw me off. Anyway, it’s dropping later this year, specifically for the Quest 3 and 3S. So, you gotta have those to play. Exclusive much?
Right, the game—so what’s the deal? Well, Deadpool gets pulled into Mojoworld (don’t ask me how that works) and sees dollar signs everywhere. Like, cha-ching. He’s hyped, so he signs this contract—probably should’ve read it first, but who reads those, right? Then he’s on this wild ride through the Marvel universe, fighting all these villains. Some you’ve heard of, some, maybe not. Mostly mayhem, Deadpool-style.
Twisted Pixel spent ages making sure Deadpool can flip around and fight like a maniac. They already knew how to get that right with another game, Path of the Warrior. So cool, right?
And, oh boy, the stuff you can do! It’s more than just your typical “shoot ’em up” vibe. Punch someone with a grenade in your hand? Absolutely! Then, I dunno, rip off your own arm and chuck it like it’s nothing. Gross, yes, but also, like, amazing? Villains, weird creatures, all there to get torn apart in bizarre ways.
I got to check out an early version of Marvel’s Deadpool VR myself. If you’re curious—like I bet you are—there’s a preview floating around somewhere. Go find it!
