Okay, so, I’m just gonna dive right in here. I mean, where to even start, right? Silent Hill 2’s remake was like, bam, way better than I thought it would be. Konami and Bloober Team did that one. Now, they’re tagging up again to re-jig the OG Silent Hill from ’99. They just said it’s happening, but, surprise, surprise, we don’t know when. Typical, right?
Anyway, I should mention, Bloober Team already hinted at doing more with Konami after the success of Silent Hill 2, so honestly, who didn’t see this coming? I kinda figured Silent Hill and the third one were next on the list. They just did such a bang-up job with the last one, who wouldn’t want more of that?
Here we are, Silent Hill fans, ready to jump back into that weird and creepy town full of fog. This time it’s not about James Sunderland dealing with all his wife stuff. Nope, we’re looking at Harry Mason, who’s off on a vacay with his kiddo, Cheryl. His wife passed, so he’s trying to catch a break. Seems familiar? Well, hang on!
They’re on their way, and boom, a car crash. Harry wakes up, and Cheryl’s missing. Cue the madness. He goes on this wild hunt for her, dodging all sorts of monster-y nightmares. I know, I know, sounds like Silent Hill 2 again, but trust me, there’s more under the hood. No spoilers though—you gotta experience the fresh remake vibes yourself.
Bloober’s got a mountain to climb again, remaking this beast of a game. It’s heavy stuff, but man, after how well they tackled the last one, I’m pumped to see what they cook up next. What do you reckon?
