Man, so here we go again, right? Another game launch creeping up on us, and I’m actually kind of stoked about this one—Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s one of those Soulslike things but with a twist, from this Chinese crew called Leenzee. Get this: they’ve set the whole thing in the Ming Dynasty, which, I dunno, feels fresh. Finally, someone doing ancient China justice with swords and drama.
Seriously, every sneak peek of this game has been a hit. Or maybe I’m just way too hyped? Could be both. But anyway, as we’re inching closer to game day, Leenzee’s been dropping some final deets. Yeah, finally letting us in on the hardware lowdown, which — for some reason — always feels like the last mystery solved.
Oh, by the way, it officially takes off on July 24th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. If you’re one of those Game Pass folks, you’re in for a day-one treat on PC and Xbox. But let’s roll back to those specs for a second because that’s game-changer news for us nerds.
Alright, the visuals. Wuchang looks good —maybe not "wow" like Black Myth: Wukong, but y’know, solid. Doesn’t need a supercomputer to run smooth, which is cool for those of us cutting corners. They finally (FINALLY!) spilled the beans on what you’ll need. Although weirdly enough, they didn’t specify how many frames you’ll get or if it’s all crisp ultra-HD. Is it just me, or does that seem like an odd gap in info?
Here’s what we got:
Minimum Specs (brace for nerdiness)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8400/Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM: 16GB RAM — and if it’s dual channel, even better
- GPU: GTX 1060 6GB, or if you swing that way, RX 580 8GB
- DirectX: 12
- Storage: 60GB (HDD’s fine but SSD? Pretty please)
Recommended Specs (for the elite hardcore)
- OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
- CPU: i7-9700/Ryzen 5 5500
- RAM: Same RAM business—16GB, dual channel
- GPU: RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT — Oh, and Intel’s Arc A750 joins the party
- DirectX: 12
- Storage: Yep, still 60GB (SSD required this round though)
Both setups apparently tested with DLSS/FSR, so make of that what you will. My techie soul tells me, yeah, these specs sound decent, but without knowing resolution specifics… who really knows, right?
Anyway, if you care (and I guess you might), here’s a rundown on launch times for our globetrotting friends:
- Los Angeles: July 23, 7pm
- Chicago: July 23, 9pm
- Bogota/New York: July 23, 10pm-ish
- Buenos Aires/Sao Paulo: July 23, around 11pm
- London: July 24, 3am (night owls, rejoice!)
- Paris/Berlin/Madrid/Rome: July 24, 4am (I mean, just, why?)
- Kyiv: July 24, 5am (they’re always ahead)
- Dubai: July 24, 6am
- Bangkok: July 24, 9am (you get to game over breakfast)
- Chengdu/Beijing/Hong Kong: July 24, 10am (local pride moment)
- Seoul/Tokyo: July 24, 11am (mid-morning madness)
- Sydney: July 24, noon (lucky devils hit lunchtime)
Not sure exactly why I’m invested in what time people get to play, but there you go. And if this isn’t chaotic enough, well, I’m still working on it. Honestly, if this game doesn’t blow up, I swear I’ll eat my hat. Okay, maybe not, but you get me.
