Zenless Zone Zero Celebrates First Anniversary Again with a New Story Chapter Release

Man, the past month for Zenless Zone Zero has been kinda wild, right? So, here’s the deal: they totally went all out for their first anniversary. Xbox finally got it, and we got that big ol’ 2.0 update. Yeah, we’ve all been buzzing about it.

So, technically, the anniversary’s in July. But you won’t hear anyone whining about getting new content early, right? New patch, new chapter in the story – it’s like bonus chaos before the actual party.

Fast forward to today, July 4. The actual, no-joke one-year mark for Zenless Zone Zero. HoYoverse? Yeah, they’re in celebration mode with another huge update. Sadly, 2.1’s just being shown off today. We have to wait till July 16 for the goods. Why do they always tease us like this?

The update’s called “The Impending Crash of Waves.” Dramatic, I know. It introduces some water-themed stuff like the Spook Shack faction. Sounds like it fits, I guess? Oh, and there’s Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort – new places to muck around in.

We’re diving into Season 2 Chapter 2 with the whole Sailume Bay thing. That’s where the fun’s gonna be. Meanwhile, Fantasy Resort is all about the summer vibes. Gotta love some summer action, yeah?

And, oh boy, new Agents! Meet Ukinami Yuzuha – throws candy bombs with her little pal Kama. Don’t ask me why candy bombs are a thing, but they are. Then there’s Alice Thymefield, slicing and dicing with speed – she’s got some sword stuff going on. These characters just keep getting wilder.

Once that update drops, you’ll also see Miss Esme – another S-Rank character. Plus, remember Void Hunter Miyabi and Yanagi? They’re making a comeback. Frost and Electric Anomalies, because mystical electricity and ice never get old.
