Wow, okay, so here’s the deal with this new VR game, “Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist” — yeah, I know, who names these things? Anyway, Resolute Games, a bunch of folks who played Orbus VR a lot apparently, are trying to get this off the ground with crowdfunded money. Like, good for them, I guess?
Right off the bat, they smashed through their funding goal. We’re not talking big bucks initially — just $25k, which seems small when you’re planning massive virtual worlds with magic and dungeons. But surprise! That goal vanished in just an hour and a half. Kinda impressive, right? Or maybe it was all part of the plan. Who can tell?
It’s now cruised past $100k and it’s not slowing. I mean, maybe people just miss Orbus VR already and need their fix? Oh, and fun fact — this campaign was kicked off on June 24th, if dates are your jam. The creator, Lynn Souza (hi, Lynn!), also piped up saying they wanted to echo the success of another game I’ve never heard of, “Zenith,” though this feels like a whole different kind of beast. Or maybe not.
The game’s promising all these cool things — spells, battles, pets that help you. You know, the usual VR stuff, plus some nifty features like this ‘Bonfire’ healing thing and whatever ‘Earth and Air abilities’ are. Pets too! I’m kinda curious about them. They’re supposed to unlock more skills at $125k, so big stretch goal vibes here.
And oh, mark your gaming calendars because it looks like late 2026 is when you might actually get to play it — Quest 3, SteamVR, you name it. The campaign wraps up July 24th. Lots of time left, or maybe not? My brain’s fried just thinking about the wait. Either way, go check their Kickstarter if that’s your scene.
Anyway, keep your eyes peeled, because who knows how big this might get. Or it’ll fizzle out — but I’m rooting for those cuddly pet buddies regardless.
