Whoa, okay, so big news dropped at Pax East. Looks like Warframe’s rolling out something that a lot of us have been babbling about in comments and chats for ages… A spider-themed warframe! Yeah, Oraxia – this critter’s sneaking into the lineup with the Isleweaver update. And, I mean, we know it’s happening in June, but who knows the exact day? Anyone? No? Fine.
So, picture this: Oraxia’s just chilling (probably not literally) on her own island. It’s on Duviri, a ginormous zone that first hit our screens in ’23. This spider’s apparently been, like, boxed up or something. And now, the mission? Track her down, squish her, and snatch up some currency. Why? Well, to swap for Warframe number 61 and her special weapons. Not gonna lie, the whole thing has me a little… uneased? Like, why spiders? But I digress.
And oh, the devs at Digital Extremes have been teasing us with this spider thing forever, right? Feels like one of those endless jokes—we’ve asked about it so much. They’ve been busy crafting some freaky frames over time. Remember Voruna? That werewolf frame was all the rage. And Sevagoth, with the space ghost vibes? Chef’s kiss. Then there’s Inaros, the mummy wall of a dude. But spiders? Hoo boy. I always figured the real terror was Limbo, but maybe that’s just my fear of top hats talking. Does that even make sense?
Anyway—and here’s more stuff—the Isleweaver isn’t just about snagging a new warframe. Major Neci Rusalka’s crashing the party on Duviri. Players need to, I dunno, dethrone her? And apparently, we’ll get to use our own gear for this! Oh, the relief. Usually, Duviri’s rogue-like format had us chucking our arsenals out the window. But now? Seems like we can finally wield our beloved weapons and mechs again.
And maybe I mentioned this? There’s a Valkyr rework coming too. A new rage mechanic? That’s pretty rad. Anyway, Duviri’s been kind of a love-it-or-hate-it deal. Handy for fresh players unlocking stuff without the grind of old quests, but old-timers miss plowing through content with their tricked-out Saryn Primes. Been there, felt that.
Guess we’re all hanging tight till June rolls around for the full scoop. Isleweaver with Oraxia? It’s all sounding a bit wicked. What about you guys—excited or silently holding onto skepticism? Hit me up in the comments!
