Sure thing! Here’s my take on your article:

So, totally unexpected news (at least for me, but maybe I’m living under a rock?) — Limited Run Games says we’re getting a Gex Trilogy remake kinda thing with, get this, three versions you can actually hold in your hand. I’m talking old-school physical copies for the Nintendo Switch. Crazy, right?
Now, this collection isn’t just about nostalgia. It’s got Gex, which jumps around in 2D, plus its sequels, Enter the Gecko and Deep Cover Gecko — those ones shift into 3D. Someone decided to sprinkle in some modern magic, like this snazzy Rewind trick and, okay, you can save whenever you feel like bailing. Handy, huh?
They’ve gone and given those newer ones a bit of a facelift with this widescreen thing. I’m told it’s 16:9. And get this — full-on 360-degree movement. No idea how they pulled that off, but maybe I just don’t get tech.
And who are these editions for? Check this out:
First up, the Standard Edition. Thirty-nine bucks and change gets you the game in a nice little case, plus some booklet probably just to make it feel special.
Then, there’s the Classic Edition, pricy at like seventy-five dollars. You get the basics plus a steelbook, a poster you’ll maybe never hang, and a CD — remember those? — of the soundtrack. Oh, and it’s all wrapped in a retro-style box. Nostalgia overload?
And then, heavens to Betsy, there’s the Tail Time Edition, which nearly made me spill my coffee at two hundred bucks! Inflatable Gex — yep, you read that right. It’s got all the Classic stuff (minus that CD) plus an epic statue of Gex, trading cards, a pin, and this gorgeous box painted by someone apparently famous named Yoshitaka Amano. Big collector vibes.
Right, so back to basics — the trilogy hits digital shelves worldwide June 16, 2025. But if you’re someone who needs to physically touch what you own, you’ve gotta wait a tad longer in 2025. Pre-orders are already live, but time’s ticking with a cutoff on July 6, 2025. Jump on it over at the Limited Run Games site if this is your jam.
Oh, and there’s a trailer. I haven’t watched it yet, but it’s floating around out there. 🤷♂️
