Man, so here’s the deal with Black Ops 7. Activision threw us a bone back in June with this super short teaser at the Xbox Showcase — and honestly, that’s where they left us hanging. Weirdly quiet, if you ask me.
Like, they said, “Hey, more info coming this summer!” And then, nada. No dates, just radio silence. Typical, right?
Anyway, here we are. It’s mid-July, and I’m tapping my foot waiting on any scrap of news. Activision finally chimes in — boom, August it is. Mark your calendars for the 19th at gamescom Opening Night Live. So, yeah, Black Ops 7 is just one part of this whole shebang. They’re streaming it live, so you can catch it wherever at 11am PT, 2pm ET, or 7pm if you’re in the UK.
Usually, these Call of Duty releases get their own fancy reveal, separate from all this summer gaming chaos. But not this time. Maybe they’re trying something new? Or just keeping us on our toes.
But here’s the kicker — no clue what exactly they’ll show us. Maybe they’ll surprise everyone with more details later in August or even early September. Like, just before the beta drops. Who knows, right?
The devs have been tight-lipped, but there’s buzz about the game making a leap back to the near-future. Plus, they’re bringing co-op back to the campaign. People are hoping for some connection to Black Ops 6. Fingers crossed they spill the beans soon.
And nope, there’s no release date yet. But November’s a pretty safe bet, with launches set for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Stay tuned, I guess.
